Alright, I do like
real people. However, I like these guys for particular reasons... And these
particular reasons are strange...
WHO IS HE?: I haven't researched background, but he is more renowned for his roles in 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Enemy Of The State' (I don't know that he's renowned for those roles, but those are the movies in which he stands out). WHY DO I LIKE HIM?: He has character. You can tell by his features. That's why I like him. Plus, he has this frowning calm in his eyes. And the thing is, I can't imagine meeting the real person. I can't imagine there being a real Barry Pepper in the world. Maybe because his character died in 'Saving Private Ryan'. Even though he was a frighteningly excellent sniper with a cool-as-you-like approach to killing the enemy, you did grow to admire his skill and eventually admire him. (Um, I mean 'me' in all those cases!)
WHO IS HE?: Again, I haven't researched his background. You may not be familiar with his name, but you've seen him around. Do the movies 'The Thin Red Line' and 'Frequency' ring a bell? And he even appeared in 'Pay It Forward'. WHY DO I LIKE HIM?: It's Caviezel's eyes. They are BIZARRE. They look so watery blue, as if his iris was created using water colours. They were especially expressive when his character died in 'The Thin Red Line'. You know the moment: he runs out into this clearing and is confronted by the Vietnamese soldiers. The disbelief, no, the realization in his eyes. I'd hate to see any opponent with eyes like James Caviezel's. |
